  3. 3Add to your card

Handwriting is easy to misread, so nothing is added until you have checked it. You are asked before the photo is sent to be read, and My Prayer Card does not keep it.

Use first names or initials, never full names. Example: Mike or MiBl

Scanning is made for cards written in English, with the month first in the date (6/8 = June 8). For cards in other languages, please check every name and date with extra care.

On your own card, tap More, then Scan a paper card.

Three ways to use it

My dad's own hand and his own prayer card. The canal bank and the phone are drawn.

The Story Behind the Card

In the summer of 1990, my dad, Mike, was out for a run along a canal bank in Modesto, California. He was a runner, and those runs were often his time to pray. That day he felt the Lord give him a simple idea: a small card that he, and anyone else, could carry in a pocket. A date, a name, and a prayer need.

He made one, and he has carried a card like it ever since. For decades he has written down requests, prayed over them, and marked the day each one was answered.

My dad is 85 now. Not long ago he said, "Everybody has a phone in their pocket. I want them to have a prayer card as well."

That is why I built My Prayer Card. It is his card, made for your phone, so that as many people as possible can pray for one another and remember every answer.

"If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land."
